If it's worth doing you can find it to do in Lucca – you name it Lucca has it, except nightclubs...

Shopping: most shops are local independent retailers selling local traditional products but mixed with high street fashions and famous names such as Armani, Gucci etc. Often open late they are fashionable to window shop during the daily passagiate or evening stroll,  to see and be seen! 

Markets: there are two general markets every Wednesday and Saturday  morning. Once a month there is a large antique market and also a regular local art and craft market.

Exercise: jogging, walking and cycling around the walls is the best way to keep fit – swimming in the local pool is also recommended. 

Eating and drinking: numerous bars, osterias, restaurants etc – pick your favourite – some have live music, all serve excellent coffee, aperol spritz etc.

Festivals: there seems to be a festa every week but the Summer Music Festival and Autumn Comic Festival are huge and internationally famous – not to be missed!
