Lucca Curated, founded by ARTIST Geoff Pavitt, is the realisation of a life-long passion for all things Italian. SUPPORTED BY HIS CLOSE FAMILY, WE EXPLORE ALL THINGS ABOUT LIFE & CULTURE IN LUCCA
After visiting the length and breadth of mainland Italy and Sicily Geoff finally chose to become a resident of the beautiful city of Lucca in Tuscany. The Pavitt family loved Lucca so much Geoff’s daughter Lucy also moved to the city with her family and Geoff’s son Simon also got married in the province.
Geoff is an artist with an inquiring mind, and someone who likes to explore societies past and present. His art draws inspiration from the best of Lucca and the region. The people, music, wine, events and general day to day living.
“LUCCA TEACHES YOU HOW TO LIVE”
Lucca Curated is a family project helping Geoff capture his experiences and is the product of his observations, often compared and contrasted with the City of London, another place he knows very well. In 2009 Geoff was awarded 'Freeman of the City of London' for his work on research in the history, culture and art of 'City Merchants during the Tudor Period'.
Geoff’s art can be found displayed across numerous cafes and restaurants throughout Lucca, from the cafe’s of Turandot and La Tana del Boia in Piazza San Michele to Madame Butterfly and Osteria Tosca in Piazza Citadella.
It is possible to commission a painting by Geoff. Whether that be a bespoke piece of art of a loved one, a memorable scene or a classic Italian moment in time…
